It's Official...

The Areawide Aging Agency has awarded Ending Hunger OKC, the food ministry of St. Luke's United Methodist Church, a grant to coordinate mobile meals delivery in Oklahoma County beginning July 1.

"We are pleased the Areawide Aging Agency asked us to become more involved in mobile meals," said Rev. Phil Greenwald, St. Luke's executive pastor of administration and chief financial officer. "There is such great need throughout Oklahoma County, and we've been encouraged by the number of people who've already stepped up to say, 'I want to be a part of ending hunger in Oklahoma City'."

Nearly 25,000 seniors aged 60 and older face issues of food insecurity, and more than 8,300 are homebound. Ending Hunger OKC will be working with the 59 churches and community organizations who currently prepare and deliver mobile meals throughout Oklahoma County.
